Samsung’s A Series officially arrives in South Africa, starts at R7,500

Samsung’s line-up of mid-rangers — the A55 5G and A35 5G —  are now official in South Africa. Uh, more official than they were in March when you could pick up both devices from Vodacom (on contract only), at least. Samsung officially brought the A Series to life in Johannesburg, where the South Korean manufacturers basked in the glory of Cassper Nyovest, Kamo Mphela and Youngsta CPT — the faces of the A Series.

If those names mean nothing to you, you’re probably in the right place. We’re more interested in the tech under the hood and Samsung’s “ongoing commitment to making the best of mobile innovations available to everyone.” The thing is, the A Series has been official for months — meaning we’ve already had a peek under the hood. The final secrets of the devices were the official pricing, RAM/storage flavours and colours. Until now.

But first, a quick refresher on the Samsung A55 and A35. The ringleader, the A55 5G, arrives in South Africa for R11,500, and reps a 5,000mAh battery and 6.6in FHD+ Super AMOLED display — both features shared by the weaker A35 5G. The differences lie in the Exynos 1480 SoC, and up to 12/256GB of RAM specs.

Unfortunately, South Africa’s models are devoid of that 12GB RAM spec, though customers do at least have the choice of 128/256GB of storage to play with. For an inflated price, of course. Oh, and you’ll have to put up with Samsung’s monotonous ‘Awesome’ naming conventions before you can pick between Sky Blue or Navy.

The Benefits of Electronic Maintenance and Repair

Sparks of Success, Not Failure

In today’s technology-driven business landscape, the reliance on electronic devices is ubiquitous, making commercial electronics repair and maintenance a crucial aspect for business owners of all sizes. Whether you’re managing a small startup or behind a large industrial corporation, the seamless function of your electronics is critical to success and productivity.

Timely repairs can heavily contribute to cost savings in the long run, while neglecting maintenance can come with quite a price tag. As such, it’s crucial to know when and who to call when it comes to making repair calls.

In this blog, we’ll dive deeper into commercial electronics repair and show you why keeping your machinery operating at its best can save you big. If you’re a business owner hoping to make the most of your equipment and efforts, the following is for you.

The Importance of Maintaining and Repairing Electronics

When it comes to business, time is money. And when your electronic equipment fails, it can be a serious problem that interrupts commerce. Let’s look at why businesses of all sizes should prioritize the upkeep of their electronic infrastructure:

1. Enhances Performance and Speed

Maintaining and Repairing Electronics devices contribute significantly to optimizing their performance and speed. Over time, software updates, accumulated data, and wear and tear can slow down systems. By addressing these issues through timely maintenance, businesses can ensure that their electronic equipment operates at peak efficiency, thereby boosting productivity.

2. Extends Lifespan

The financial investment in electronic equipment is substantial, and businesses naturally seek to maximize the lifespan of their devices. Routine maintenance and professional industrial electronics repair services help identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ultimately extending the lifespan of electronic devices and reducing the frequency of replacements.

3. Prevents Data Loss

Data is a critical asset for businesses, and electronic devices often store sensitive information. Regular maintenance not only ensures the proper functioning of storage devices but also helps in preventing data loss due to hardware failures. This is particularly crucial in industries where data integrity is paramount, such as finance, healthcare, and legal sectors.

4. Minimizes the Risk of Malware and Security Threats

As businesses become increasingly reliant on interconnected electronic systems, the risk of malware and security threats rises. Maintaining and Repairing Electronics can safeguard against potential vulnerabilities, providing businesses with a robust defense against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

5. Improves Battery Life

For devices relying on batteries, maintaining optimal battery health is essential. Regular check-ups and repairs can identify issues affecting battery life, ensuring that electronic devices remain operational for longer periods without the need for frequent recharging or battery replacements.

6. Cost Savings

Investing in routine maintenance and timely industrial electronics repair is a proactive strategy that can lead to substantial cost savings in the long run. By addressing issues before they escalate into major problems, businesses can avoid expensive replacements and ensure a more predictable budget for electronic equipment upkeep.

7. Enhances Safety

In some industries, electronic equipment is integral to ensuring the safety of both employees and processes. Regular maintenance helps identify potential safety hazards, electrical issues, or malfunctioning components, ensuring a secure working environment for all.

Why It’s Important to Let Professionals Handle Commercial and Industrial Electronics Repair

When you need to repair electronics, it’s always a good idea to let professionals handle the job. The intricacies of commercial and industrial electronics systems demand specialized skills and in-depth knowledge that only training can provide. Specialists, like AES, undergo rigorous training and are prepared to implement precise solutions safely and effectively.

Additionally, electronic systems can be intertwined with other systems, causing overlap and issues if handled by someone unfamiliar with their organization. This can end in a ripple effect that harms the overall system. But with the hands-on experience of a professional, this won’t be an issue.
